The Reluctant saint1994
the story of St. Joseph of Cupertino
by Edward Dmytryk
The story of the humble Franciscan monk who literally rose to sainthood. In the impoverished community of 17th century Cupertino a peasant boy finds himself in hot water most of the time. His mother, thinking she can improve him, takes him to her brother, a priest who reluctantly accepts the boy into the monastry. Miraculous things begin to happen to him, especially as he is saying his first Mass.
