Artists like Robert Rauschenberg and Robert Whitman teamed up with Billy Klüver, a visionary engineer at Bell Telephone Laboratories, and his colleague Fred Waldhauer to launch a groundbreaking initiative that would realize works of art in unprecedented collaborative ventures.
