Lido/Lido1998

by Daniel Kurjakovic

This is the first collection of short stories of Swiss writer Daniel Kurjakovic. Although highly experimental at first sight, his texts never search for an art for art’s sake. They try instead to find a stylistic correlative to a perception of life and of the real which is fractured and multi-faceted. This is existential prose, and it is phenomenologically inclined: looking for the meaning of life will, in Kurjakovic’ texts, always be linked to questions of memory and desire (all texts in German, except the Englische Miniaturen/English miniatures).
